Virtual Symposium on OR&R Pollution Research
SEPTEMBER 28, 2020 — The first of three virtual symposia was held on Monday, September 21 to discuss key scientific results from ongoing research ranging from Arctic cod and forage fish impairment after oil spills to marine debris impacts nationally and internationally.
Future symposia will address CAMEO software development, field-testing marine induced polarization for detecting submerged oil in the Gulf of Mexico, toxicity testing, recreational lost use, and joint research results on a bevy of projects with the Coastal Response Research Center (CRRC), University of New Hampshire. Sharing key results as soon as possible fits into ORR's mission of all hazards readiness. The second session will occur on Monday, September 28 (12:00 -1:00 pm PT) and the third on Monday, October, 19 (also 12:00 -1:00 pm PT).
