Natural Resource Damage Assessment and Restoration Training For Oil Spill Responders in Alaska
OCTOBER 5, 2020 — OR&R, with co-hosts from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Park Service, and U.S. Forest Service, led a Natural Resource Damage Assessment and Restoration (NRDAR) training for oil spill responders in Alaska.
The objective of the training was to increase awareness, understanding, communication, and coordination between State and Federal agency Responders and NRDAR Trustees during oil spill response in Alaska. Over 80 participants, who fill a wide range of different agency roles in oil spill response, participated in the virtual training. The training included an introduction to NRDAR for oil spills in Alaska and a presentation on NRDAR during an emergency response.
