Marine Debris Program Participates in Local Washington State Podcast
SEPTEMBER 28, 2020 — On September 17, Andrew Mason, Pacific Northwest Regional Coordinator of the Marine Debris Program (MDP), joined the host of the local Washington State podcast Coastal Café to discuss the effects of marine debris on boaters in the region.
The Coastal Café podcast is co-sponsored by Washington Sea Grant and the University of Washington. The discussion ranged from how big of a problem marine debris is in the Puget Sound, to what boaters can do to avoid contributing to the problem and instead be a part of the solution.
The thirty minute podcast will air on local Port Townsend, Washington, radio station KPTZ 91.9 FM on September 30 at 5:10pm PT (time subject to change), and will be available online afterward at https://kptz.org/podcasts/coastal-cafe/.
