Feature Story on DIVER Application’s Use in the St. Louis River Superfund Site
JANUARY 11, 2021 — A recent Feature Story on the NOAA Fisheries website focused on the use of the DIVER application to support clean-up and habitat restoration in the St. Louis River in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
The St. Louis River is one of 31 Areas of Concern across the Great Lakes. NOAA OR&R’s scientists have been working collaboratively on the assessment, clean-up and restoration of contaminants in this area for many years. Our most recent efforts with Federal, State and local agencies have focused on integrating and standardizing data from many sources and making these data publicly available through the DIVER application in support of cleanup efforts.
This featured story highlights the uses of DIVER and the Great Lakes data to support restoration efforts and the strong partnerships that we’ve built in the region.
