Monitoring design statisticians from Western EcoSystems Technology presented on options for documenting nationwide status and trends of shoreline marine debris. Six marine debris experts from the U.S., Brazil, and Norway provided feedback and offered recommendations on the analysis and potential designs. Outputs from the workshop are informing next steps in scoping a national monitoring effort.
